BTCCSquare news:

MoonPay has achieved a significant regulatory milestone by securing a New York Limited Purpose Trust Charter from the NYDFS. This authorization allows the company to operate MoonPay Trust Company, offering institutional-grade crypto custody and OTC trading services in one of the most stringent jurisdictions for digital assets.

The approval follows MoonPay's recent BitLicense acquisition and its Arkham fiat-integration deal, positioning the firm as a rare dual-license holder in the crypto sector. The MOVE signals growing institutional acceptance of regulated crypto infrastructure in traditional finance hubs.

New York's regulatory landscape remains challenging for crypto firms, making MoonPay's achievement particularly noteworthy. The company's expanded capabilities now include NYDFS-supervised trading and custody services, potentially attracting more financial institutions to the digital asset space.
